At first glance, the gap between the scale of the existing house and its potential for a compelling architectural experience was evident. The existing structure is large and modern, with wide openings, yet it lacked character and hierarchy.

The renewal focused on creating a coherent architectural language, redefining the façade and relocating the entrance to the center of the house to establish a clear and continuous architectural gesture. The upper front balcony was emphasized באמצעות a horizontal pergola and a steel beam that create a continuous horizontal frontage. Opening the stairwell turned it into a light shaft connecting the floors. A consistent palette of wood, steel, and glass was used throughout.

Expanding the living room westward and transforming it into a double-height space, together with the partial removal of the first-floor slab at the entrance lobby, created a new vertical connection between the different parts of the house, enhancing spatial flow, visual connections, and the influx of natural light.
This is a renewal project that grants the house new depth and a renewed identity.
